Fibrate treatment in mice is known to modulate high density lipoprotein (HDL) metabolism by
regulating apolipoprotein (apo) AI and apoAII gene expression. In addition to alterations in
plasma HDL levels, fibrates induce the emergence of large, cholesteryl ester-rich HDL in
